W rozprawie zaprezentowano teoretyczne badania struktury elektronowej metodą KKR-CPA międzymetalicznych związków, w aspekcie występowania nadprzewodnictwa i/lub stanu magnetycznego. Badano 3 grupy związków: o strukturze perowskitu Sc3XB (X = Tl, In, Ga, Al), o strukturze Zintla Mo3Sb7 oraz heksagonalne układy Y4Co3 i Y9Co7.
W grupie układów perowskitowych przewidziano wystąpienie nadprzewodnictwa, z temperaturami krytycznymi około 10 K. Dla pokrewnych układów Sc3X przewidziano pojawienie się słabego ferromagnetyzmu.
Dla Mo3Sb7 pokazano, że nadprzewodnictwo w tym układzie poprawnie opisuje elektronowo-fononowy mechanizm. Oszacowano stałą sprzężenia elektron-fonon (0.54) i temperaturę krytyczną (2.2 K), w zgodności z wynikami doświadczalnymi. Przebadano wpływ domieszek Te/Sb oraz Ru/Mo na nadprzewodnictwo.
Dla ferromagnetycznych nadprzewodników Y4Co3 i Y9Co7 obliczono strukturę elektronową, uwzględniając obecności wakansji i nieporządku na podsieci 2b atomów kobaltu. Obliczono parametry McMillana-Hopfielda, pokazując główną rolę wybranych podsieci Y i Co w oddziaływaniu elektron-fonon. Dla Y4Co3 uzyskano po raz pierwszy teoretyczne potwierdzenie występowania momentów magnetycznych (0.5 uB) wyłącznie na atomach Co(2b). Uzyskane z obliczeń krzywe gęstości stanów elektronowych porównano z wynikami pomiarów spektroskopii fotoemisji, uzyskując bardzo dobrą zgodność.
„Theoretical investigation of superconducting and magnetic properties os selected intermetallic compounds”
In this work theoretical investigation (KKR-CPA method) of electronic structure of intermetallic compounds were carried out, to study the superconducting and/or magnetic properties. The investigated compounds were Sc3XB (X = Tl, In, Ga, Al), Mo3Sb7, Y4Co3, Y9Co7.
In the perovskite group the superconducting state was predicted, with the critical temperature of about 10 K. For the Sc3X compounds, the weak ferromagnetic ground state was predicted.
For the Mo3Sb7 superconductor it was showed, that superconductivity in this compound is mediated by the electron-phonon interaction. Calculated value of electron-phonon coupling is 0.54, and the critical temperature is 2.2 K, in good agreement with experiment. The effect of Te/Sb and Ru/Mo doping was investigated. For the Y4Co3 and Y9Co7 structures, the electronic structure was calculated, taking into account the partial occupation of the Co(2b) site. The McMillan-Hopfield parameters were also deduced. The results showed, that the partial filling of the Co(2b) site is not favourable for the superconductivity. For Y4Co3 for the first time we confirmed that small magnetic moment (0.5 a.u) is carried only by the Co(2b) atoms. Theoretical DOS curves were compared with the experimental UPS spectrum and good agreement was found.
