STATUS OF WOMEN IN WESTERN WORLD
For centuries women have been fighting for their rights; the process was the most significant and rapid in the western world where feminism was initiated and shaped.
At first women were forced to take different social positions without being appreciated and respected. They had to be good and caring mothers, loyal wives and people taking whole responsibility for household. All of these duties were done by them without getting any support or appreciation.
After some time many women started to oppose these ways of treatment and began fighting for the basic rights. They expected men to understand how difficult was their role in everyday life and to treat them as equal human beings. Since XIXth century they have tried to get more and more making men convinced that they really achieve what they dream of.
Nowadays, thanks to the first creators of feminism women have proved that they are able to deal with some important matters sometimes even better than men. They make huge career, become directors, managers and still have time to take care of their children, cook dinner for a whole family, or just be a good partner and friend for their husbands.
All in all, the way women had to go through was very difficult and expected a lot of courage and self confidence from them. That process is still not finished and it may take a lot of time but is worth the effort.
