W trosce o środoWisko – działalność i plany rozWoju pec Geotermia podhalańska s.a. W latach 2013–2016

For the sake oF the environment – the activities and development plans oF pec Geotermia podhalańska s.a.
in 2013–2016
The paper will present the activities of PEC Geothermal Podhalańska S.A. from 2013 to 2016, which were aimed at the expansion of the geothermal heating system in the Podhale Region.
This will be presented in the process of drilling the deep research-production borehole within the Podhale 1 mining area – Bańska PGP-3 directional well. The results of its testing (subjects of hydrogeological documentation) will be given. Furthermore, the effects and con-
sequences of including that well into the geothermal system will be highlighted. The invest- ments launched as a result of increased geothermal water’s production by the Bańska PGP-3 well aimed at increasing thermal energy production from the Podhale geothermal water will be introduced. The activities planned for increasing the range of PEC Geothermal Podhalań- ska S.A.’s activities, i.e. the electricity generation by applying over 100°C geothermal water (the binary scheme) will also be presented.
