Marek Mariusz Tytko
(M A , Ph.D.) is a doctor of humanistic sciences in pedagogy (2007). His doctoral dissertation was, “Stefana Szumana koncepcja wychowania przez sztukę” [“Stephan Szuman’s concept of educating through art”]. He is a graduate of Jagiellonian University in three facul ties: 1) history, 2) philology, and 3) philosophy. He is a historian of art, a pedagogue and a scientific information specialist. Since 1991, he has been employed at Jagiellonian University. From 1997 to 1998, he was a scholar and teacher in the Institute o f Polish Philology at the Higher School of Peda gogy in Cracow. He has multidisciplinary fields of research in pedagogy, philosophy, literary studies, the history of culture, the history of art, the history of literature, science information and library studies. He has rich private experience in writing poetry and the practical animation of literary, artistic, and religious culture. He is Roman Catholic and open for patriotic, Christian, familial, and national values of European cultures.e-mail contact:
