W wyniku detonacji MW, propagowana jest wewnątrz masywu skalnego znaczna ilość energii, która skutkuje określonym poziomem intensywności drgań rejestrowanych w otoczeniu. Influence of a millisecond delay on the vibration response spectrum which is induced by detonation of explosives
Blasting works which are carried out in quarries are done by firing a large mass of explosive in order to obtain requested granulation. As a result of the explosive detona-tion, an amount of energy is propagated within the solid rock, which results in a given level of the intensity of vibration recorded in the environment. Blasting charge detonation with a millisecond delay means that the energy liberated from the explosive is supplied to the solid rock with a particular frequency. The frequency of the detonation of blasting charge, as the inverse of millisecond delay and frequency of vibration is characteristic to the subsoil and correlates with each other. This may lead to the resonance excitation, which results in the enhanced intensity of vibration. Interaction of the system, subsoil - object and a response of the building structure on the external input function, is an im-portant addition to the research of the impact of millisecond delays on the intensity of vibration. Introducing to the market more precise blasting tools, resources and blasting equipment, which gives millisecond delay, forces need for a more detailed analysis of recorded vibration in order to identify more accurately their structure. One of such analysis which allows knowing the composition of the vibration frequency is "The Response Spectrum Method". It is widely used in the analysis of earthquakes and mining tremors. An additional advantage of this method is the possibility of direct assessment of the impact of vibrations on a building and its various elements. The biggest advantage of it, over other analytical methods, is the possibility of direct implementation in designs of new buildings and in entering of any amendments to the already existing objects.
