Animals in Captivity
Animals living in zoos enjoy several advantages over animals in the wild, however, they must also suffer some disadvantages.
We don’t have to think a lot to know that in our times care that we give to the animals is essential for them. It’s very important and comfortable for them not to worry about food needed to survive.
But not only the food, also feeling of safety is important. It’s good to know that nobody’s going to hunt on you.
What’s more, our medical care helps them suffer several diseases.
However, there are also some disadvantages of that way of living. Some animals may feel uncomfortable because of less living space than they had in their natural living conditions. Living in small groups, or in cages, they can also feel very lonely. Also, contact with people may cause huge problems. Animals fed by irresponsible tourists very often have to suffer several health problems.
In short, animals living in zoos feel safer and more comfortable than those in the wild. However, we have to remember that they are still wild animals, they need more living space and can’t be treated like pets we have at home.
