elektrochemicznych ogniw Li/Li+/Lix(LiyFezV1-y-z)O2.
Li-ion batteries are commonly used source of energy for mobile electronics and in automotive industry, in electric vehicles. In the context of Li-ion technology, LiVO2 is a specific electrode material, which when undergos slight modification, may act both, as a cathode and anode
material. LiVO2 has a number of unique properties that significantly influence the electrochemical processes in cells. Their examination could lead to a better understanding of the phenomena affecting the performance of the given oxide, and other layered electrode materials.
The aim of this work was the examination of peculiar phenomena taking place during lithium intercalation and deintercalation in LiVO2 and its derivatives: Li(LiyFezV1-y-z)O2. Particularly important in this case was explanation of
interactions between vanadium ions within octahedra layers, leading to a formation of superstructure with V3 clusters (so called trimers) as its main components.
This work presents analysis of structural and transport properties of Li(LiyFezV1-y-z)O2 materials, as well as electrochemical properties of
Li/Li+/Lix(LiyFezV1-y-z)O2 cells. The presence of superstructure (vanadium trimers) was proved, and the its evolution with the changes of composition of the examined materials was shown. Also, the considerable impact of the trimers presence on Li(LiyFezV1-y-z)O2 physicochemical properties was demonstrated.
