Kazimierz Bartoszyński (b. 1920)—Professor in the Institute o f Literary Studies in the Department o f Historical Poetics, theoreti cian o f literature, concerned mainly with the structure o f narrative prose and theory o f novel.
Michał Głowiński (b. 1934)—literary historian and theoretician, Professor o f the Institute o f Literary Studies o f the Polish Academy o f Sciences, concerned mainly with relation o f poetics and literary sociology, and particularly with problems o f reception o f literature.
