Exchange Students

We generally have received 1-2 students for one academic year (1 student for 1 academic year is equivalent to 2 students for 1 semester). However, as it can be change considering its balance and inquiry, it would be necessary to be discussed between two universities if there are more students who would like to study.

Required documents for application Online submission

- 3.5cm * 4.5cm color photo of face (front view on white background only) - Photocopy of passport

- Academic transcript in English - Letter of recommendation - Completed Medical Form

- Agreement on Personal Information

- Other certificates such as language, activities, etc. (If applicable)

Note: After the period of official nomination, partners and students will receive information on the online application process by email.

Visa Process - All documents will be sent to sending

universities

- Each student must submit documents listed below to the Korean Embassy in one’s country.

a. Valid Passport

b. Certificate of admission

c. Business registration of the host university d. Completed visa application form

e. Recent certificate of school record f. Verification of account balance g. Visa processing fee

※ It can be varied among countries

English language proficiency At intermediate/high level to take English- based courses

Note: Certificates (e.g., TOEFL / TOEIC/ IELTS) are not required.

Tuberculosis Test Optional for students who stay in dormitory - Students may take the test before they come

to Korea(within 1 month before at least) if they will stay in dormitory

- Otherwise, they can take the test at the beginning of semester in the host university

Health Insurance Mandatory

- The insurance must cover all costs related to treatment of illnesses, injury and death caused by accidents, and /or disasters during your stay in Republic of Korea. The proof of insurance should include student’s name and coverage in English. KMU is not responsible for any personal accident, disease or damage during their stay.

- If students do not have insurance in their home country, they must have it in Republic of Korea promptly.

※ Students should bring the original certificate.

Housing Dormitory application:

- Students should apply for dormitory when they register the online application form.

- Deposit slip for payment will be given to the students on the orientation day.

- Once they receive the deposit slip, they are requested to pay in cash at the designated bank during the payment period.

b. Without meal: KRW 527,000 - KELI House (2 persons/Room)

b. Without meal: KRW 527,000 - Intl’ Hall for Male (3 persons/Room)

Note: Private bathrooms are only located in the International Halls. Prices of the dormitory are subject to change by semester

※ Dormitory fee should be paid by cash in Korea (money transfer from abroad or credit card are not available)
