ADAPTIVE CAPACITY OF BUILDINGS

A DETERMINATION METHOD TO PROMOTE FLEXIBLE AND SUSTAINABLE

CONSTRUCTION

18-3-2014

Rob Geraedts

(2)

Context

The adapve capacity of a building

contains all characteriscs which

make it possible that the building

preserves the necessary

funconality during its technical life

cycle on a sustainable and

economical way with changing

demands and circumstances

  Target group:

–  Ownes –  Users

  Aim method:

To look for an opmum between

de demand for and the supply of

the adapve capacity of

buildings.Vinden van opmum

tussen de vraag naar en het

aanbod van Adapef Vermogen.

Opmum with respect to:

–  The adapve capacity –  The financial / economic efficiency –  The sustainability impact

  New and exisng buildings

What is the value of the adapve capacity of the built environment for the 3 target groups ? Aimed for essenal future scenarios of the built environment Users Owners Society Accommodaon is adaptable to a changing primary process A building with a highest possible profitability during the ownership cycle Real estate that contributes to an aracve and sustainable living and working environment Note The main queson of the society will not be elaborated further. Starng point is that this aim will be taken along by the owners and users of buildings.

Assessment Readings - Example
