A subject o f the study was a com parison analysis o f two m odelling methods describing a flow o f extracted rock through a basie m echanised system utilized in underground mines: shaft bin - hoisting installation.
Basing on data collected from underground mines identification (in m athem atical sense) o f a stream o f excavated rock was done that allows for an evaluation o f usefulness o f models that have been developed in this regard till now.
G athered inform ation on rock flow was used for construction o f a sim ulation model depicting flow o f rock won over shaft bin and hoist. Estim ation o f basie param eters o f the flow has also been done.
A n analysis o f rock flow using analytical w ay o f description was m ade as well. The results o f it w ere com pared w ith corresponding outeom es obtained from statistical experim ent. M erits and dem erits o f both m ethods o f exam ination was indicated together with a scope o f com patibility accom panying by usefulness for mining engineering practice.
