Optimization of local corrections in problems of transformation between cartographic reference frames „1965" and „2000".
The main objective of the thesis was to optimize the algorithms and methods of local correction's calculation. A series of tests were done to evaluate widely used algorithms. The purpose of the tests was to examine: the accuracy of local deformation modeling, resistance to the incompleteness of the data, and the possibility to perform the transformation outside the control points. A number of problems associated with method's application were defined and described.
Special method of weighting of control points was suggested as solution of topologically incoherent borders of transformed adjacent areas. Optimal parameters for this method were chosen. Method of automatic search for map's topological incoherencies after transformations with posttransformational corrections was propounded. It was proven on real example that despite theoretical possibility, problems of this kind are not very frequent in real data.
Grid of corrections as a the most optimal method of transformation between reference systems was described in details. Various methods of grid creation were presented. Tests on real data showed that this method provides coherent and accurate transformation for large areas, despite of reference system's zones or area of source studies. Such grid for whole Poland was prepared. It was based on first and second class control points and third class points for several dozen of counties in Poland.
