1. Recent efforts to develop intensified gas-to-liquid processes for fuel production are responses to the availability of alternative feedstocks.

1. Recente inspanningen om geïntensiveerde gas-to-liquid processen te ontwikkelen voor de productie van brandstoffen zijn een antwoord op de beschikbaarheid van alternatieve grondstoffen.

2. Een ingenieur benut de mogelijkheden die de natuur ons biedt voor het welzijn van de mensheid. In dit verband is het genereren van vermogen en welvaart voor de samenleving onmisbaar.
3. Bij het combineren van Fischer-Tropsch synthese en hydrokraken in een enkel katalysatordeeltje compenseert een intiem contact tussen de Fischer-Tropsch-actieve fase en de Brønsted-zure plaatsen deels het nadelige effect van hun uiteenlopende optimale werkingscondities.

4. De frequente nadruk op begrippen als 'Democratie', 'Duurzame samenleving', 'Green World', etc., zelfs indien notoir misbruikt, zijn een indicatie dat de algemene trend in de evolutie van de menselijke samenleving inderdaad beweegt in de richting van deze waardevolle concepten.
5. Een van de belangrijkste voordelen van mesoporeuze zeolieten ten opzichte van microporeuze analoga als Fischer-Tropsch-katalysatordrager is hun grote buitenoppervlak hetgeen essentieel is voor het verdelen van metaaldeeltjes van optimale grootte bij hoge beladingen.

6. Hydrogenolyse is een onontgonnen vakgebied in de overgangsmetaal-katalyse.
7. De hoge methaanselectiviteit van zeoliet-gedragen kobalt-katalysatoren (tijdens Fischer-Tropsch synthese) wordt veroorzaakt door de directe CO-hydrogenering over coördinatief onverzadigde kobalt-sites.

8. De overeenkomst tussen moed en dwaasheid is de bereidheid om gevaar tegemoet te treden. Het verschil is de aanwezigheid van angst in het eerstgenoemde.
9. Alleen zure -sites voor hydrokraken veroorzaken afwijkingen van een conventionele Anderson-Schulz-Flory(ASF)-productverdeling bij Fischer-Tropsch condities. Hydroisomerisatie verlaagt de ketengroeikans maar leidt niet tot een afwijking in een ASF-productverdeling.

10. De beste manier om ons bestaan betekenis te geven is hard werken om onze talenten optimaal te benutten.
