1. An aerodynamic performance parameter is required to assess the performance of a mor-phing high-lift system. Better yet is to include this aerodynamic performance parameter in the optimisation objective function such that the morphing system is optimised for that specific parameter.
2. Interpreting a topology optimisation result requires some imagination.
3. The full potential of composite materials in the aeroelastic design and optimisation of aerospace structures has still not yet been fully exploited.
4. The next generation of commercial airplanes can be expected without a doubt to use greater morphing capabilities compared to their current incarnations.
5. Nature shows us through evolution that an optimisation process can be time consuming. 6. Formula One racing, and other car race series, have attracted (or convinced) a vast
amount of students to become engineers.
7. Productivity increases when a deadline is near, unless reduced motivation results in a deadline delay.
8. The solution to the problem of computational time/cost is to sit and wait, since finding a workaround takes more time than the chip industry needs to speed up the processing time.

1. Een aerodynamisch prestatieparameter is nodig om de prestaties van een vervormbaar draagkrachtverhogend klepsysteem te beoordelen. Het is zelfs beter om de aerody-namisch prestatieparameter op te nemen in de optimalisatie doelfunctie zodat het ver-vormbaar systeem geoptimaliseerd wordt voor die specifieke parameter.
2. Het interpreteren van een topologie-optimalisatieresultaat vereist enige verbeelding. 3. Het volledige potentieel van composiet materialen in het aero-elastische ontwerp en
optimalisatie van luchtvaart- en ruimtevaartstructuren wordt voorlopig nog steeds niet volledig benut.
4. Het mag zonder twijfel verwacht worden dat de volgende generatie commerci¨ele vlieg-tuigen meer vormveranderende systemen bevat in vergelijking met de huidige gener-atie.
5. De natuur toont ons door middel van de evolutie dat een optimalisatieproces tijdrovend kan zijn.
6. Formule 1 races, en andere autorace klassen, hebben een grote hoeveelheid studenten aangetrokken (of overtuigd) om ingenieur te worden.
7. De productiviteit neemt toe naarmate een deadline nabij is, tenzij een afgenomen mo-tivatie leidt tot uitstel van de deadline.
8. De oplossing voor het probleem van de rekentijd/kost is om rustig af te wachten, want het vinden van een tijdelijke oplossing kost meer tijd dan dat de chipindustrie nodig heeft om de rekenprocessen te versnellen.
