W i e jed o ch je n e Z w i s c h e n g e s i m s e b e re its w e s e n t li c h n o t w e n d i g s i n d , um das L a g e rh a fte des B aues zu be z e ic h n e n un d fü r d en T o t a l - E i n d r u c k a r c h i t e k to n i s c h e Ru h e zu g e w i n n e n , so w ir d dies M o m en t n o c h w e i t e r d u rc h re gelmässige S tr e if e n von glasir- t e n S t e i n e n in e i n e r he llv io le tte n F a rb e ausgebildet, w e l c h e a u ss erd em zugleich dazu d ie n e n , die ro l h e F a r b e d e r B ack stein e in d e r Masse zu b re c h e n und zu m i l d e r n ; m i t denselben glas irten S te i n e n sind auch an den S tr e b e p fe ile rn b e so n d e r e A b t e i l u n g e n ) je n a c h dem W e c h s e l d e r G e s c h o s s e , ang ed eu tet.
D ie H a uptgeschosse haben an je d e r Fahnde 8 F e n s t e r von b e d e u t e n d e r B r e it e ; die H a u p tfa ^ a d e e n t h ä lt in d e r M ilte des U n terg es ch o sses z w e i , üb e r e in e r F r e i - T r e p p e e r h ö h t e P o r t a l e in it r e i c h e r U m fassung, d eren eines für die O b e r- B a u d e p u ta t io n , das an d re fü r die B au sch u le b e s t im m t ist. So bildet sich das A e u s s e r c , se in e r a llg e m ein en A n o rd n u n g nach, in e in e r grossartig im p o n ir e n d e n F o rm , die sich w e sen tlich von den V e rh ä ltn iss e n d e r P ri v a t-G e b ä u d e u n t e r s c h e i d e t : zugleich a b e r is t a n d e r a r c h i te k t o n i-

D iese feinere A usbilduog d e r g e n a n n te n A rc h ite k tiirth e ile s t e h t übrigens in u n m i t t e l b a r e r B ezieh u n g zu dem a n g e w a n d t e n Mat eria l d e s g e b ra n n t e n S t e i n e s , in d e m sie d u r c h R e i c h t h u m d es D etails e r s e t z t , w a s das g e n a n n te Material an s t ä r k e r e r A u slad u n g n i c h t zulässig m acht.
