Boy: My mum is a vet. She helps animals such as horses and dogs. But I’m not interested in animals. I’d love to be a policeman who catches criminals. It’s cool to drive police cars!

Boy: I live on a farm but I don’t want to be a farmer. I can repair my dad’s tractor and other machines. I want to be a mechanic. It’s a good job because a lot of people have cars and need to repair them.

Boy: Last week my class had a meeting with a police officer. I think it’s a dangerous job.
I’d prefer to help animals such as cats, horses and dogs. I’d like to work as a vet and help sick animals.

Boy: My parents are doctors. They want me to be a doctor, too, and work in a hospital.
But I prefer to live in the country and do what my grandpa did. I want to be a farmer.
I would like to keep animals, grow vegetables and drive a big tractor.
Zadanie 2.
Girl: It’s a pity you didn’t come to the biology lesson. The teacher showed us a film about animals. We learnt how giraffes sleep and what they eat. And later, there was an interactive quiz. It was fantastic!
Boy: Really? It sounds great. I hope the next lesson will be fun too.
Zadanie 3.
Girl: Tomorrow a famous photographer is coming to our school. We’re going to talk to him in the library. He will tell us about his visits to Africa and show us his pictures and prizes.
Zadanie 4.
Man: Hi, Betty! It’s John. Listen, Susan can’t make the invitations for our play because her printer isn’t working. Do you think you could print them? We need to invite 40 guests.

Girl: At last I can sit down!
Boy: How many pairs of shoes did you buy?
Girl: Just two but I have been to eight shops and I’m really tired.
Boy: What would you like to eat? Have a look at the menu.
Girl: I’d like some spaghetti. They make good pasta here.
Boy: OK, I’ll call a waiter.
Zadanie 6.
Woman: Good morning everyone and welcome to Prince Alexander’s Garden. In most royal gardens you’ll find trees and flowers like roses and tulips. But not here. Prince Alexander loved open spaces and watching ducks swimming on the lakes. As you can see we have no trees in our garden, just grass. And water lilies on more than 30 small lakes. These flowers look beautiful on water.
Zadanie 7.
Boy: Most of my friends listen to hip hop music. Some of them like pop, too, but I prefer old rock groups. I think they’re great. I’ve got many CDs and listen to rock songs for hours.
