A n allen H ä u s e r n u n d G e b ä u d e n , a n T h o r e n u n d B r ü c k e n , an G ra b s t e in e n , an eis ern en O efen, in B ü c h e r n , a u f Tafeln, o d e r w o sonst W a p p e n , B ilder, L i l i e n , I n s c h r i f t e n u n d d e rg le ic h e n e t w a s zu finden w a r , — in g le ic h e n alle d e u t s c h g e sc h r ie b e n e n Ge- w e r b s - T a f e l n un d S c h il d e r an d en H ä u s e r n , m u s s te n v e r t i l g t w e r d e n , d e n n die d e u t s c h e S p r a c h e hiess die b a r b a r i s c h e , — die S p r a c h e d e r T y r a n n e n ! W e d e r das e h r w ü r d i g s t e A l t e r t h u m n o c h die s elten sten W e r k e d e r K u n s t w u r d e n geschont.
