Dear Parishioners and Guests,

We pray that you will be filled with joy this Easter. We have celebrated the

mysteries of our faith in such wonderful signs and symbols! We wish you a holy Easter in joyful praise of the One who makes everything possible! We offer you our prayers and love to bless your heart and home and family today and every day. Thank you, God! Happy Easter!

-Fr. Tony & Parish Staff

Spreading the Good News!!!!

Jesus lives! Alleluia! This is a message we need to celebrate not only today, Easter Sunday,

but everyday. Well, the 4th grade Religious Education class has found a way to help us do that! This energetic and

generous class, led by daughter-mother team, Mrs.

Becky Williams and Mrs. Cindy Massey, has once again left some beautifully decorated

Easter rocks around the parish grounds as a way to remind us and to help spread the wonderful Easter message!

So be on the lookout, and you might just be lucky enough to find one of these pretty gems to

take home as a memento of The GOOD NEWS-that in the

Resurrection of Jesus we all have new life!!

Alleluia! Alleluia!!

STEWARDSHIP

Last weekend we almost had snow and there was plenty just south of us! Sometimes it’s cold in springtime in the Midwest. It might be really hard to get into the mood of God making all things new on a cold day full of flurries.

Some Easters it might as well be a Sunday in January!

This year we might not feel like it is Easter because of snow or rain, but we still have that warm feeling of the Resurrection. For many people, however, it will not feel like Easter at all because they have been forgotten. They

are sitting at home, just like they sit every single day of their lives. They might be poor, elderly, disabled, or

simply alone. On this day, there is no resurrection celebration because they have no real experience of the joy of life. In this Easter Season, find someone who needs

to experience the power of the Resurrection. Don't tell them Jesus was raised for them, show them. Instead of the cold of isolation, bring to them the warmth of new life.

Community Prayer Breakfast

Fr. Tony and Ryan Adams represented St. Joseph Parish last Saturday morning at the annual Prayer Breakfast held on March 24 at Olivet Nazarene University.

Local church and civic leaders enjoyed this meal together, prayed, shared Scripture, and were inspired by musicians and speakers.

Ryan, who is a lector and facilitator of My Time with Jesus with his wife, Lindsay, at St.

Joseph’s, proclaimed 2 Peter 1:2-11, exclaiming grace and peace come through knowledge of and love for Christ! Fr. Tony offered a prayer focusing on what Ryan had proclaimed asking God to bless our leaders and help them

safeguard us from physical harm as well as

greed, envy and elitism. The other church

leaders led prayers in a similar way. It was a

moving display of faith and friendship!
