Die Krise der Holzindustrie

M a n ist g e n e i g t , E r z e u g n is s e aus H o l z im P re ise niedrig zu b e w e r t e n , w eil die A n s ic h t v o r h e r r s c h t , d a ß d e r W e r k s to f f H o l z , g e m e s s e n a n ä n d e r n W e r k s t o f f e n (z.B . Eisen, Gelbmietall, L eich tm etall ), billig im G e s t e h u n g s p r e i s sei. D ie se A n s c h a u u n g ist zw eifell os d a d u r c h h e r v o r g e rufen, d a ß i n f o lg e d e r z u lä ss ig e n u n d f ü r H o l z n o t w e n d i g e n S c h n i ttg e s c h w in d ig k e ite n u n d V o r s c h ü b e die B e a r b e it b a r keit d e s H o l z e s g e g e n ü b e r d e r a n d r e r W e r k s t o f f e sich u n v e r h ä l tn i s m ä ß ig leic h te r u n d e in f a c h e r u n d d a m i t auch billiger g e s t a l t e t . A u f g a b e d e r w e i t e r v e r a r b e i t e n d e n I n d u s t r i e w i r d es sein, die F o r s t b e t r i e b e d a h i n g e h e n d z u b e e i n f lu ssen , d a ß g e w i s s e A r b e i te n ( A b l ä n g u n g , E n t r i n d u n g u sw .) a u f d e m S c h la g v o r g e n o m m e n w e r d e n k ö n n e n . S e h r zu b e g r ü ß e n u n d in h o h e m M a ß e b e a c h t e n s w e r t si n d d ie B e s t r e b u n g e n d e r s ta a tlic h e n F o r s t w i r t s c h a f t z u r Z ü c h t u n g e in e s g e s u n d e n H o l z - W e r k s t o f f e s . Es. w ä r e s e h r zu w ü n s c h e n , d a ß d u r c h e n g e s Z u s a m m e n a r b e i t e n d e r s ta a t l ic h e n u n d p r i v a t e n F o r s t w i r t s c h a f t m i t d e n g e s e t z g e b e n d e n K ö r p e r s c h a f t e n d e r d e u t s c h e Id e a l w a ld g e sc h a ff e n w i r d , d e r g e g e n d i e v o n N a t u r a u s g e g e b e n e n s c h ä d lich e n E i n w i r k u n g e n (K lima, B o d e n b e s c h a f f e n h e it , I n s e k t e n , P ilze usf.) u n d g e g e n alle g e w a l t t ä t i g e n S c h ä d i g u n g e n , d e n e n d e r B a u m v o m e r s t e n L e b e n s j a h r an a u s g e s e t z t ist, g e s c h ü t z t w ird.

D ie H o l z i n d u s t r i e b e s o r g t im w e s e n t li c h e n d a s A u f t r e n n e n d e s S t a m m e s n a c h v o n Z e i t zu Z e i t r e g e l m ä ß i g w i e d e r k e h r e n d e n A b m e s s u n g e n , d a n n d i e V e r e d e l u n g d e r S c h n i t t w a r e ( T r o c k n u n g ) . In d e n H o l z v e r a r b e i t e n d e n B e tr i e b e n w i r d d a s H o l z z e r k l e i n e r t ( P a p i e r i n d u s t r i e ) o d e r g e s p a l t e n ( S p e r r h o lz , F u r n i e r ) . In d e n H o l z b e

a r b e i t e n d e n B e trie b en w i r d es zu B a u e l e m e n t e n (M öbel, B a u k o n s t r u k t i o n e n , K isten usw .) o d e r z u G e g e n s t ä n d e n b e s t i m m t e r G e s t a l t (z. B. S pulen, S tielen) w e i t e r b e a r b e it e t. S ie h t m a n vo n d e r w e r k s t o f f w i r ts c h a f t li c h g ü n st ig g e l a g e r t e n H o l z s t o f f in d u s tr i e ( P a p i e r ) u n d d e r S p e r r holz- u n d F u r n i e r i n d u s t r i e , a ls o d e n g r o ß e M e n g e n an ein em O r t e v e r a r b e i t e n d e n W e r k e n ab, so e n t s t e h e n in allen V e r a r b e i t u n g s s t a d i e n W e r k s t o f f v e r l u s t m e n g e n , die h e u te n o c h u n v e r h ä l t n i s m ä ß i g h o c h si n d u n d d ie i n d u strielle E r f o l g s r e c h n u n g s c h w e r b e la s te n .

D e s b e s s e r e n V e r s t ä n d n i s s e s w e g e n soll k u r z auf die W e r k s t o f f b e s o n d e r h e i t e n d e s H o l z e s e i n g e g a n g e n w e r d e n . H i e r b e i w i r d d e m H o l z f a c h m a n n d e r S a c h e n ach N e u e s n ich t g e s a g t w e r d e n k ö n n e n , w o h l a b e r m a g d i e D a r s t e l l u n g s w e i s e d e r ihm an sic h b e k a n n t e n V e r h ä l t nisse die M ö g lic h k e ite n u n d G r e n z e n s e i n e r W e r k s t o f f w i r t s c h a f t v e rd eu tlic h en .

D e r W e r k s t o f f H o l z ist d e r g e w a c h s e n e B a u m s t a m m , d a s a u s ihm g e f e r t i g t e H a l b z e u g ist d ie Bohle, d a s Brett , die D ic k te o d e r d e r K antel. W ä h r e n d z. B.

V o m S c h n itth o lz w e i t e r g e r e c h n e t sind sie je n a ch d e r F e r t i g u n g s w a r e u n d d e n an sie g e s t e l l te n G ü t e b e d i n g u n g e n 5 b i s 25 v H .
