General notes
1. The basic source of information regar
ding living conditions of the population, i.e., the level and differentiation of disposable income, expenditure and consumption as well as the furnishing of households with durable goods,
is the sample survery of household budgets.
2. The household budgets survey repre
senting 7 basic socio-economic groups of population established on the basis of the
exclusive or primary (predominate) source of maintenance i.e. household:
of employees, of employees-farmers, of farmers,
of the self-employed, of retirees,
of pensioners,
maintained from non-earned sources.
3. Available income includes current mone
tary and non-monetary income including the value of self-consumption, i.e., consumer goods and services acquired for household needs from self-employed (agricultural or non-agricultural) economic activity as well as the value of goods and services received free of charge, excluding prepayments on personal income tax paid by natural persons.
4. Disposable income is understood as available income less other expenditure.
Disposable income is designated for consumer goods and services as well as for an increase in savings.
5. Wydatki gospodarstwa domowego obejmują wydatki na towary i usługi konsump
cyjne oraz pozostałe wydatki. Wydatki na towa
ry i usługi konsumpcyjne przeznaczone są na zaspokojenie potrzeb gospodarstwa domowego.
Obejmują wydatki na towary i usługi zakupione za gotówkę i na kredyt, wartość artykułów otrzymanych bezpłatnie oraz wartość spożycia naturalnego.
Pozostałe wydatki obejmują m.in. kwoty przekazane innym gospodarstwom domowym i instytucjom niekomercyjnym, w tym dary, alimenty od osób prywatnych.
6. Spożycie artykułów żywnościowych w gospodarstwach domowych obejmuje artykuły zakupione za gotówkę i na kredyt, otrzymane nieodpłatnie oraz pobrane z gospodarstwa indy
widualnego w rolnictwie bądź z prowadzonej działalności gospodarczej na własny rachunek (spożycie naturalne); bez spożycia w placów
kach gastronomicznych.
5. Expenditure of the household include ex
penditure on consumer goods and services as well as other expenditure. Expenditure on con
sumer goods and services are designated for meeting household needs. They include expen
diture on goods and services purchased for cash and on credit, the value of articles received gratis as well as the value of self consumption.
Other expenditure include, i.a.: amounts transferred to other households and non
commercial institutions, of which gifts and ali
mony from private persons.
6. Consumption of foodstuffs in households includes articles purchased for cash and on credit, received gratuitously as well as taken from a private farm in agriculture or from con
ducted self-employed economic activity (self
consumption); excluding consumption in cater
ing establishments.
