Eye – receptor of the sense of sight
Receptor we call a cell or organ, which receives information coming from the environment. In the case of the sense of sight, such cells are found in the eye, which registers light signals. It receives information about movement, shapes, colors and distances.

Image crea on
We already know how light enters the eye. Now let's find out how an image is created.

When an image is in the retina it is reduced and inverted. The eye has cells that respond to light that send information to the brain. There, the signals are processed in such a way that we see the picture normally, not „upside down”.

Why is this happening?
Observa on 1
Determining why we need two eyes.
You will need
2 sharpened pencils.
Instruc on
1. Put one of the pencils on the table.
2. Close the left eye. Raise your hand with the thumb extended so that it covers the sharpened end of the pencil.
3. Open the left eye and close the right eye. Do you see the end of a pencil now?
4. Take one pencil in each hand. Spread your hands apart, and then bring them close to each other so that the pencils come into contact with the pointed ends.
5. Close one eye and repeat the previous action. Remember to bring your pencils close to each other quickly. Is it easy to bring them together with just one eye?
Summary
The left and right eye receive slightly different images. When the brain deposits both, we get
a three‑dimensional image of the world around us. In addition, with a pair of eyes, the distance can be correctly assessed. Looking at the world with just one eye would make it very difficult.
The le eye sees the image slightly different from the right one. The brain superimposes images from both eyes and creates a three-dimensional image on this basis

Summary
Visual sense organs receptors are found in the eyes. They receive light stimuli from the environment.
In the eye a reduced and inverted picture is created.
By changing the shape of the lens, we can focus our eyes on objects placed at different distances.
Thanks to having two eyes, a person can see in three dimensions and correctly estimate distance.

Prowadzący lekcję określa cel zajęć i wspólnie z uczniami ustala kryteria sukcesu.
Faza realizacyjna
Nauczyciel prezentuje i omawia ilustrację interaktywną. Następnie dzieli uczniów na grupy i każdej z nich poleca przeprowadzenie pogłębionej analizy jednego z punktów przedstawionych na
schemacie w oparciu o dostępne źródła informacji (np. internet, atlas lub encyklopedię).
Uczniowie prezentują wyniki pracy w grupach. Każdy zespół kończy swoją prezentację sformułowaniem wniosków.
Uczniowie samodzielnie wykonują zamieszczone w abstrakcie ćwiczenia interaktywne sprawdzające stopień opanowania wiadomości poznanych w czasie lekcji. Nauczyciel inicjuje dyskusję, w trakcie której omówione zostają prawidłowe rozwiązania wszystkich ćwiczeń samodzielnie wykonanych przez uczniów.
Nauczyciel prezentuje i omawia galerię zdjęć w abstrakcie.
obserwacji/doświadczenia/eksperymentu, a następnie wspólnie formułują wnioski.
Praca domowa

Lesson plan overview Before classes
Students get acquainted with the content of the abstract. They prepare to work on the lesson in such a way to be able to summarize the material read in their own words and solve the tasks themselves.
Introduction
The teacher explains the aim of the lesson and together with students determines the success criteria to be achieved.
Realization
The teacher presents and discusses the interactive illustration. He then divides the students into groups and recommends that each of them carry out an in‑depth analysis of one of the points presented in the diagram, based on available sources of information (e.g. internet, atlas or
encyclopedia). Students present the results of work in groups. Each team ends their presentation with the wording of the conclusions.
Students carry out the interactive exercises checking the level of knowledge learned during the lesson. The teacher initiates a discussion during which the correct solutions for all the exercises performed by the students are discussed.
The teacher presents and discusses the photo gallery. Students analyze the illustrations and answer the teacher's questions.
Students, working in pairs, carry out „[Observation 1] / [Experiment1] / [Experience1]”, while completing their observations in the notebook. The participants share the insights made during the observation / experiment / experiment, and then formulate conclusions together. The teacher corrects possible mistakes.
Summary
The teacher briefly presents the most important issues discussed in class. He answers the additional questions of the proteges and explains all their doubts. Students complete notes.
At the end of the class, the teacher asks the students questions:
What did you find important and interesting in class?
What was easy and what was difficult?
How can you use the knowledge and skills you have gained today?
Willing/selected students summarize the lesson.
Homework
Develop a lap book containing issues learned during the lesson and bring your work to the next class.
Listen to the abstract recording at home. Pay attention to pronunciation, accent and intonation.
Learn to pronounce the words learned during the lesson.
